.....Spennymoor Town with a hard-working performance at the Brewery Field on Thursday night to share a 1-1 draw and leave the hosts` play-off hopes hanging by a thread.
Spennymoor, playing their ninth game of April, took the lead after 27 minutes against a youthful Ferriby side when Andrew Johnson’s cross was deflected in to the net by James Piercey, although the goals was officially credited to David Foley.
Spennymoor had slightly the better of the first half, but the second largely belonged to Ferriby as the home side tired.
And Ferriby’s equaliser came after 64 minutes when a ball into the box found Jordan Harrison and he shrugged off a defender before sliding the ball past Moors` keeper Dan Lowson.
A seventh game without a win has left Jason Ainsley`s side looking for favours now if they are to make the play-offs when it looked as though they were firm favourites a few weeks back.
So, it`s all on the final day when Bradford Park Avenue, Blyth Spartans, York City and Spennymoor all still have a chance of nicking the final top seven spot.
