Your Weekend Starts Here! So What's In Store On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

For most, their National League season enters the second half this weekend. Now things are starting to get even more serious!

Matchday 24 means the half-way stage for the majority is passed, so what has Saturday got in store?

You can watch for yourself of course, leaders Leyton Orient and Boreham Wood meet live on BT Sport. You can ready a preview here.

Salford City, second in the table, will wonder if this could be the day they return to the top - or will Chesterfield finally get that elusive win they've been trying for since mid-August?

The form side in the division are Dagenham and they can make it seven wins from six if they beat struggling FC Halifax Town at home. Peter Taylor’s side have only lost to Salford City in that run.

Wrexham have a home game as they try and end a difficult week with a win - but they may prefer to be away.

Eastleigh have won five back-to-back away games and know if they make it six from six at the Racecourse then it could have dire consequences for the Red Dragons title bid.

Havant will be happy to be at home with things not so good on the road - they’ve won their last three at Westleigh Park ahead of bottom club Braintree's visit this weekend.

Dover’s big improvement will be tested when AFC Fylde visit, while Aldershot are at Harrogate Town.

Bromley have made a number of impressive signings late this week and they’ve joined just in time for the longest trip of the season - Neil Smith takes his side to Gateshead.

Barrow are getting better all the time and Ian Evatt wants to test that progress, the Bluebirds are at home to Maidstone United who have only won last of their last six games.

Hartlepool United are bottom of the form guide and are without a manager.

With Maidenhead United are 23rd in the form table so Saturday’s game at takes on extra significance.

Solihull Moors were superb as they beat Harrogate Town on Tuesday, days after keeping Blackpool at bay. Next it’s a trip to Sutton United.

Garry Hill thinks Ebbsfleet can make the play-offs. A win at home Barnet will give that statement even more credibility.
