Barrows told the club`s official website: “I`m really pleased. Of course, last season was a great year for not only the club but personally myself, I feel like I have learnt a lot and developed a lot and I am looking forward to next season to push on even more.”
The youngster is relishing the chance to play in the National League after The Shaymen’s play-off final win at the end of last season.
Barrows added: “I think it will be a big challenge, more physical, quicker and a better quality of football as well. A couple of the lads have been in this league before but a few of us haven’t and I think that the ones who haven’t are very excited for the challenge and I am looking forward to testing myself against better players.”
Barrows made his debut in the Emirates FA Cup Second round defeat against Eastleigh last season and has impressed in his appearances for the youth teams winning all round student of the year for the under-19 side in 2015.
Being one of the youngest members of the squad Barrows believes that he can learn a lot from more experienced members of the squad. “In training, I learn every session from the senior players and I think that it is important to be learning every session.”
Barrows aims to become a first team regular season saying: “Hopefully I can have a good pre-season and impress the manager and we will see where it goes from there”.
