The 19-year-old signed having turned out for the Lambs side in a friendly at RAF Cosford on Tuesday night.
The talented youngster became something of a fans favourite at Vale Park before losing his place after the arrival of former Gateshead boss Neil Aspin.
The local lad is a Vale scholar who made his debut during the 2015/16 season against Rochdale.
After his debut season for the Valiants, Turner spent time away with Evo-Stik League South side Kidsgrove Athletic for the 2016/17 season.
He scored 5 goals in four league games for Grove, including a brace on his debut against Chasetown and Bedworth United.
After his month loan came to an end, he joined Worcester City, then in the National League North, where he only made one appearance in a 1-1 draw with Curzon Ashton.
Towards the end of last season, Turner became a regular substitute under former boss Michael Brown in Port Vale’s bid to stay up.
And he has made fourteen appearances to date this term, scoring 3 goals, albeit most of those coming before Aspin`s appointment.
