Yates Pleased With Solihull Attitude After First Game

Solihull Moors joint manager Mark Yates saw plenty of positives from their 1-1 draw at Maidstone United.

After falling behind early a second half goal saw Moors pick up a point as they look to move out the relegation places, writes Tom Feaheny.

Loanee Kwame Thomas helped get them a point with his goal in the second half

“We stuck in the game, we weren’t at our best but we believed in ourselves,” Yeates told the club’s website.

“It was a big ask to come here today and get something but I thought we showed great resilience, great character and the boys have shown me that they care and it matters.

“We showed a resilience, the character to get the point from this game against a good side.

“We want to be as professional as we can, we played some good football at times and can build on that.”

They next take on Wrexham and Yates know they are in for a challenge.

“The lads will recover and we will be ready for a tough game on Tuesday.”
