....delight at being able to extend his loan deal with the Vanarama National League club to 2016.
Wroe, who is on loan from Sky Bet League Two side Notts County, joined the Shaymen soon after the appointment of Darren Kelly, and signed for a further two months on Monday.
The 30-year-old, who has made six appearances so far in league and cup, will stay at The Shay until 9th January, though could stay longer from then.
A constant starter, Wroe told of how pleased he is to be back playing football again: “I’m really pleased to be able to extend it. It’s nice to be back playing and I think since I’ve been here there`s been a bit of an improvement. In the team performances, we’ve not got some of the results that we feel we deserved but I think we’re now going in the right direction. Hopefully we can keep that going over the Christmas period.”
Wroe’s signing was one of Kelly’s first moves, and he has brought in a number of other experienced heads as the Irishman looks to guide Town out of the drop zone. Tommy Miller has joined alongside Wroe, whilst in defence, Nat Brown and Kiel O’Brien both have many games under their belts.
For Wroe, having the knowhow will be crucial for the current battle.
“Experience in the side will be important,” he said. “When you’ve been around for a while you get to experience different things, so hopefully that will stand us in good stead as we look to get out of the position we’re in.”
