Wright's Pride As Darlo Keep Delivering

Darlington boss Tommy Wright says his side gave him everything he wanted as they hit North Ferriby United for six.

A fine first-half display saw them go in 5-0 up, with a further goal added before the end of the game, writes Tom Feaheny.

“We challenges the team before the game, we’ve had two performances that weren’t great before, we were at home I told the lads they needed to be clinical and we were,” Wright told the club’s website.

“I can’t fault the lads, that first half performance was everything I asked for, we dominated the whole of it and it was great to see all the strikers get on the scoresheet.

“On a cold day on a tough pitch, we had a good attendance, I wanted us to put on a show for them all who turned up and we did."

Wright says the feelgood factor is clear at the club, while eyes are not on the play-off places, they know if they keep the good run going they very well be looking at them soon according to Wright.

“Everyone has a smile on their face right now, we are playing well and getting the results we can only focus on ourselves if we keep doing it then maybe the attention can turn to our league position.”
