Wright Left Frustrated And Disappointed With Defeat

Tommy Wright, was disappointed with Nuneaton Town`s 1-0 home reverse at the hands of Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.

A Michael Jacklin goal after 14 minutes eventually proved enough to earn Dave Frecklington`s visitors a first win of the new campaign.

Wright said: “It was disappointing.

“We were frustrating in the first half and looked lethargic, but after the break, the lads did everything I expect of them.

“I asked for a response and I got it. We played the right way and it was a joy to watch, but we couldn’t break down the door.

“It’s a case of being able to manage the game better against stubborn opposition. Had we got a goal back, we would have gone on to win that game.

“The focus now turns to Tuesday’s trip to Brackley Town. It’s given me food for thought and I’ll pick a team that I believe can go there and get a result.

“They’ve started the season well, but if we go there with the right attitude, we’ll give ourselves every chance”.
