Wrexham Watch As Ward Could Earn Them A Healthy Sum

Wrexham and their fans are watching twitter closely as the club await a possible windfall.

Former Wrexham goalkeeper Danny Ward could be set for a move to Leicester City in a deal worth £10million which has been agreed between the two clubs according to various reports.

The Wrexham-born 25-year-old left the Vanarama National League club in 2012 to move to Merseyside.

After making just two appearances for Liverpool as well as loans at Morecambe, Aberdeen and Huddersfield Town, Ward is set for a big move away.

Due to a sell on clause, Wrexham would be due a fee which could reach six figures.

With Brazilian international Allison set to complete a record move to Liverpool from AS Roma, manager Jürgen Klopp looks set to allow Ward to look for football elsewhere.

This could be great news for supporters of the National League side, as new manager Sam Ricketts looks to seal promotion to the Football League this season.

Wrexham will watch on with interest in the coming weeks. They begin their season at Dover Athletic on August 4.
