But in the end it took a stoppage time equaliser to prevent the Dragons from suffering back-to-back defeats after their 2-1 loss at Dover Athletic last weekend.
Guiseley travelled across to North Wales having lost their previous three matches but took an early 3rd minute lead when Gavin Rothery fired in a low effort from just inside the area.
Wrexham came close to equalising soon after, but visiting `keeper Steve Drench saved well from Dominic Vose.
But Vose was not to be denied, and he did pull his side back on level terms in the 23rd minute when he curled a shot in off the inside of the post.
And it was Vose again who put the hosts` in front in the 37th minute with a low effort from 20 yards.
The visitors came close to levelling when Liam Dickinson, on as a 56th minute substitute, almost made an immediate impact but his free-kick bounced back off the crossbar.
But he did bring his side back to 2-2 in the 70th minute when he converted Rothery’s cross from 18 yards.
And in the 81st minute it looked as though Guiseley were going to end their poor run when they went 3-2 in front.
Dickinson this time made the assist for Adam Boyes to beat Cameron Belford.
But Rothery was shown a straight red card 7 minutes later for a reckless challenge on Mark Carrington.
And the ten-men were made to pay in the 2nd minutes of injury-time when Connor Jennings (pictured) equalised after good work from Kayden Jackson.
