The Rebels may have got one over the Essex club in the play-offs last May, but they’ve not much liked their matches with them this season.
Winning at their place and on the south coast, the Iron are figuring out how to compete the trilogy when it matters the most.
Aarran Racine hopes things will be a lot different and with history on the line, he challenged his players to write themselves into Worthing folklore.
An an interview with Bank Holiday Monday’s programme, he said. “We are under no illusions that this is going to be a difficult
game.
“They are the only side that we’ve failed to pick up a point against this season and they
kept clean sheets against us both times too.
“They’re a strong side and they’re very good at what they do so it’s going to take the same performance level, if not better, for us to get something out of the game today.”
He told fans to raise the roof again with the TNT Sports cameras on hand to really showcase the club.
“I just wanted to touch on the incredible support from the fans last week too. I think as a staff member, you can take it in more and you can really notice the difference it makes. It was unbelievable.”
