His team ended a five-game winless run by stunning leaders Chesterfield late on this weekend.
The come-from-behind win kept them in second place and answered some questions according to their manager.
Woodman says the poor run has brought reflection but he says he never doubted the talent he had at his disposal.
“We needed that to remind everyone that we are a good team, we said that we needed to start getting results again,” he said after the 4-3 victory at Hayes Lane.
"At half-time we went in and we licked our wounds, we had an honest chat. It was important that we didn’t feel sorry for ourselves.
“I didn’t think it would finish in the manner it did! But what can you say, it’s a fantastic moment and hopefully we’ve answered some questions.”
Bromley now host Dagenham on Tuesday before a live TNT Sports date at Eastleigh this weekend.
“Our DNA was there for everyone to see,” Woodman, who took over at the club nearly three years ago, went on. “I’ve been telling them during the past few weeks to not lose sight of our identity.
“Now we’ve got 13 cup finals and the crowd have seen we’re up for the challenge.”
