Wood Winger Andrade: We Can Still Go Up Some Gears

By David Richardson

Free-scoring Boreham Wood head to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, and their in-form forward says there's more to come!

Bruno Andrade has netted four goals in four starts for the Wood as they've picked up ten points from their opening five games.

Last Saturday, the 23-year-old helped end Aldershot Town's unbeaten run, striking in a deserved 2-1 win - watch match highlights here.

Now their deadly frontline, that has scored 13 goals so far this season, the joint highest in the division with the Shots, is aiming to sink Tranmere this weekend.

"We know we have the quality in attack to cause any team in this league problems," said Andrade. "I'm enjoying everything as it comes. This is the longest scoring run I've been on, it's always good to start the season well as it gives you a platform.

"Tranmere are a decent side so we need to be at it from the off. We're still waiting for our first clean sheet of the season, last season we were getting them for fun, but it's only a matter of time. We have quality throughout the entire team.

Manager Luke Garrard described their win over Aldershot as possibly the best performance he's ever seen from the Wood, Andrade added: "I still think we can go up another three or four gears. It's good that the gaffer thought we played well, I think it speaks volumes about how highly I think of the team that we can do more."
