The weekend leaders lost 2-1 at Meadow Park and Waddock didn’t deny that defeat was the correct outcome.
It was the Shots first defeat of the season and the manager had no doubts that Luke Garrard’s team got what they deserved.
“The result was a fair result, we didn’t deserve to take anything from that I don’t think,” said the manager.
“Boreham Wood were the better team and the scoreline suggests that. I have no complaints because we were beaten by the better team.
“They have done their homework on us but you have to find a way around that and find a way to get something from the game.
“I give Boreham Wood credit for their performance, but I also don’t think that we were as good as we needed to be either.”
