Wonder Wall Sends Concord Rangers To Wembley!

Alex Wall’s fantastic 80th minute winner sent Concord Rangers to Wembley for the first time in their history.

The National League South side are into the FA Trophy final after a landmark day.

The delayed final four face off saw Rangers win 2-1 against Southern League Halesowen Town at the Aspect Arena.

Danny Scopes’ side will meet either Notts County or Harrogate Town, who will make history themselves and become the first ever EFL side to play in the Trophy final if they win their semi.

Wall’s wonderful lobbed winner got the party started and now they wait for their big day at the National Stadium.

The Essex club went behind when new Halesowen signing Richard Gregory put the Step 4 club in front after just 7 minutes.

Rob Evans’ own goal put the hosts back on terms and it was set up for a grand stand second half.

Concord’s decisive moment came ten minutes from time, striker Wall in the perfect place to send the ball over the Town keeper - and send his team to Wembley.

Rangers boss Scopes purred: “It’s a proud moment for every single person attached to this football club.”
