Lion Park Sports Ground will be the new home for the forthcoming season, with the first-team squad training three mornings a week, with the option for additional sessions.
The facility includes a spacious changing room area, gym and physio room, and a clubhouse where the players will be having lunch twice a week. A big thank you to former Woking player Andy Clement who has been preparing the training ground, alongside our own groundsman Colin Galliford.
Manager Anthony Limbrick commented: “The new training facility has got everything we need, with the changing rooms, gym, area to eat and being able to do video analysis work. We’re continuing to improve the training ground towards Football League standards. It’s been great to be here this week to prepare for the game against Watford on Saturday.”
Cllr Mark Pengelly, Portfolio Holder for Recreation for Woking Borough Council said: “I am delighted that the club have moved back to Woking for their training and match preparations.
“It is yet another sign of their ongoing commitment to our community”
The squad has now had three sessions on the training pitch, with one further session to come before Saturday’s big match at The Laithwaite Community Stadium against Premier League Watford.
