Manager Coyle believes things are really starting to come together at Park View Road following their slow start to the season.
"Tom has been out for a while but to do that shows what a good player he is and how important he is to the team," Coyle said.
"He is a constant threat and that will be so good for his confidence as three or four weeks out.
"If you look over the pitch we have quality and good options all over now and we are starting to see the results."
The win over Chippenham added to success at Havant, victory at home to Whitehawk and Poole in the past few weeks have put a different slant on Welling's season.
"You never want to look too far ahead but with the players we have got coming back then there is no reason why we can't really push on," Coyle added.
"We have struggled to start games as we should do at home so thankfully we managed to put that right on Saturday. It was the best start we have made.
"We dominated the match from the word go so that's really pleasing - we were excellent but we want to take the forward now."
