....signed striker Anthony Wilson, who was released by National League side Barrow AFC last week.
Wilson joined Barrow in July 2014 on an undisclosed fee from Trinity`s league rivals North Ferriby United following two excellent seasons, but was plagued with knee injuries requiring operations throughout the campaign.
A further knee operation in July this year limited his availability until late September, but since then a groin injury curtailed his FA Cup appearance at AFC Fylde which was to prove his last for Barrow.
And this season the player has found the travelling from his Sheffield home to and from training in Lancaster extremely tiring.
Wilson, 28, had spells with Belper Town and Alfreton Town before signing for Ferriby on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell in December 2012.
The highly-rated frontman will go straight into Gainsborough`s squad for the trip to Tamworth on Saturday.
