Williams Returns To Brackley On A Permanent Basis

Brackley Town signed striker Aaron Williams on a permanent basis in time for him to feature from the bench in Saturday`s goalless draw in the Buildbase FA Trophy against National League side Barrow AFC.

Williams was on loan to the Saints from SkyBet League Two side Newport County from August to January 1st and notched 15 goals in that time.

He started his career at Walsall making six appearances. He then moved to Worcester City before joining Rushall Olympic where he scored 28 goals in thirty-nine appearances.

Nuneaton Town was his next port of call where he had an impressive scoring rate of a goal every two games bringing him to the attention of Peterborough United, where he moved in 2015, scoring twice in ten games.

He moved on to Newport in January 2016 from where he went out on loan back to Nuneaton, scoring 7 goals in twenty-one starts.

In all he has scored 3 times for Newport in seventeen games.

He has one England C cap gained against the Republic of Ireland in May 2015.

He was released by County by mutual consent after returning to Rodney Parade and was immediately snapped up by Brackley boss Kevin Wilkin.
