Will There Be Even More Trophy Drama Ahead On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

With a last round packed full of upsets, what will the FA Trophy last 16 bring this weekend?

We’ve already seen the holders booted out, the National League leaders gone and plenty of big hitters slayed by lower league opposition but now things are now getting serious as Wembley comes into view.

A place in the quarter finals is up for grabs and after Chesterfield saw their double dream die at Welling United, the Wings face Barnet looking to take another huge scalp.

Another of the struggling Step 2 side caused a stir. Bishop’s Stortford slaughtered Aldershot Town 6-1 and now they face Coalville looking to put their leagues woes to one side.

Considering his start, don’t rule out Phil Brown guiding Kidderminster Harriers back to Wembley. Peterborough Sports will be eyeing up an upset and boast home advantage on Saturday.

Aveley stunned AFC Fylde before Christmas and next for them it’s Bromley, while Hampton & RB- who won at Hartlepool United in the fourth round - welcome Macclesfield, who thrashed Dorking 5-0 last time out.

It's a north London derby as Wealdstone challenge Hendon while Hereford's reward for seeing to Torquay United is a home game with Gateshead.

Solihull Moors fancy their chances with some big clubs long gone and Andy Whing takes his team to Chorley. Fifth round winners receive £6,000, while the losers earn £1,750.

This weekend’s fixtures:
Welling v Barnet
Bromley v Aveley
Hereford v Gateshead
Peterborough Sports v Kidderminster
Wealdstone v Hendon
Chorley v Solihull Moors
Bishop's Stortford v Coalville
Hampton & RB v Macclesfield
