Wilkinson Takes On Tudors Task As Dowson Departs

Bobby Wilkinson will take over at the Tudors after two seasons with the Terras, departing Weymouth last month after keeping the club in the National League South.

It’s all change at Vauxhall Road after Hemel asked Dowson to step in after Bradley Quinton’s departure with the club possibly needing a result on the final day of the season at Taunton Town.

A statement read: “Following a thorough recruitment process, Bobby emerged as the standout candidate, boasting a wealth of experience and a proven track record wherever he has gone. Following this process, Bobby has agreed to come in earlier than planned so he can get to work immediately, based on the current scenario.

“Given Bobby's undeniable qualities and the urgent need for stability, the club has made the decision to appoint him now, allowing him and his management team time to secure our safety this season and prepare thoroughly for the next season.

“With his extensive background at clubs like Hungerford, Wealdstone, and most recently Weymouth, Bobby brings a deep understanding of the challenges inherent in our league and the immediate task ahead of us going into a crucial week in our season. His impressive CV includes successful promotions and notable achievements, demonstrating his ability to deliver results even in the most difficult of circumstances.

“We are also pleased to welcome Mike Percival as Bobby's assistant manager. With a longstanding professional relationship with Bobby, Mike's addition adds invaluable insight and cohesion to our coaching staff.
