Goals from Taofiq Olomowewe, Dan Fitchett and Danny Green helped sink second-placed Braintree at The Vale on Saturday.
The Stones have won six of their seven home National League South fixtures since Wilkinson took over towards the end of August.
They’re now just a point behind the play-off places and seven adrift of leaders Dartford following Saturday’s impressive victory.
Wilkinson told the club’s website: “I’m lost for words a little because I’m very proud of the boys. They never gave up.
“The lads were unbelievable. They performed with pure courage, heart and passion and ended up getting a great three points.
“We knew Braintree had mistakes in their back four. We ended up getting our shape right and got through another tough 90 minutes against a quality side.”
So what has been the key to the Stones’ fantastic home form - something that has eluded them in recent years?
“I lead them, I work them really hard and standards are everything to me,” Wilkinson added. “The boys are believing and that’s the key thing.
“Somebody told me we're still 11th in the table. Brilliant. We don’t need to be in the play-offs at this stage. It’s all about the next game and keeping this run going.
“It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. I’ve been in this situation before but I’ve never been this high in the table at this stage of the season with so many points.”
