A late Abobakor Eisa strike proved the difference for Wealdstone as they defeated Whitehawk, writes Tom Feaheny.
The result means they remain unbeaten in the Vanarama National League South since Wilkinson became manager.
"I know this side would win, we were not going to be let down, I am very proud of every single person here, the lads and the coaching team, ten points from 12 games is not a bad start," Wilkinson said to the club's website.
"This is one of the best wins since I came in, Whitehawk have made a lot of changes, plenty of players have come in for them, it meant we couldn't plan exactly, it adds to the victory."
"I am just very proud, we showed that we can win from coming from behind, I said some home truths, the players listened to what I said and took it on board."
They next face Chippenham Town next weekend, with Wilkinson knowing it is another game that will push his side.
"I have already had Chippenham watched, we will train hard, we know how they will play, they have a good manager, are a good football club, if we want to be in the mix, we have to pick up wins, I know this will be a tough game for us."
