Wilkin Urges For More Of The Same From Town

Kevin Wilkin has been full of praise for his side as they currently sit third in the league and are into the fourth round of the FA Trophy.

Victory at the weekend against Sutton United secured Town another fourth round appearance and just two stages from Wembley, writes Tom Feaheny.

Now the focus is back on the Vanarama National League North with the side facing Blyth Spartans away from home.

"They are another side in the play-off picture and we know from the last time we faced, they are a good opponent.

"We’ve worked hard and deserve where we are in both the league and cup, we need to continue this in both competitions, we are doing well so far."

Wilkin believes they have to take even more confidence with how they played against Sutton last weekend.

“Sutton are a strong side and we had to play very well, getting the opening goal was key for us to progress.

“They started well and asked questions of us so it was important to get our noses in front. For the neutral it was a very competitive game with good players on show."
