Wilkin Proud Of Unbeaten Brackley Start

The Saints made it four wins in a row to continue their 100% record at the start of the Vanarama National League North season.

A 1-0 home win against Nuneaton Town left manager Kevin Wilkin pleased but not only with the win but the performance as well, writes Tom Feaheny.

This results means Brackley are now clear at the top of the table on 12 points out of a possible 12.

The match was decided by a fine Ellis Myles strike with just 11 minutes on the clock.

Wilkin afterwards told the club's website there were a lot of things that he liked about the way the match went.

“The boys are playing to a really good level and have been expansive with the ball and good in lots of areas."

“Danny Lewis in goal had little to do. It would have been nice to have got a second to steady the nerves but we deserved the win and all credit to the players for a really solid performance that showed understanding of the game and some real quality.”

Brackley's next match is again at home as they face the other team who so far have a 100% record as well in Spennymoor Town on Saturday with a 3PM kick-off.
