It took 72 minutes but Brackley eventually gained the three points thanks to goals from Aaron Williams and Jimmy Armson, as they kept the pressure on the two teams above them, writes Tom Feaheny.
“It happened time and again last season, teams coming here to frustrate us,” Wilkin told the club's website.
“They came to defend but we found what we needed , something we haven’t always managed to do.
"Aaron came inside and struck a terrific first goal for us and then it was a super second goal, it’s moments like that that are crucial in a tight game.”
