Wilkin Knows Home Leg Win Only Small Advantage For Brackley

Brackley Town boss Kevin Wilkin says the 1-0 win against Wealdstone leaves the game open ahead of the second leg.

A late goal with five minutes to go, means the Vanarama National League North side take an advantage into the away tie, writes Tom Feaheny.

“I am pleased with the result but it would be nice to have a greater cushion," Wilkin told the club's website.

“The conditions today were incredibly tough. The way we went about our business was pleasing yet neither keeper had to make too many saves. We had a lot of possession but didn’t break them down.”

The two sides face each other on Saturday at Wealdstone and Wilkin knows what to expect.

“Next week will be a tough game. “They will have a large and vocal support behind them but we have gone away from home before this season and shown great character. If we can do that we will have a chance.”
