Wild About A Home Win! Pete Purring Over Perfect Shaymen

Pete Wild was a happy man after finally getting the home win the FC Halifax manager wanted - even if he hasn’t been Mr Popular lately!

The Shaymen haven’t won in front of their home fans since September’s victory against Barnet.

When the next one did arrive, it was conclusive - Saturday’s 4-0 FA Trophy first round success against Wrexham.

The 2016 winners are looking good in the competition again and Wild was delighted with the manner in which they won.

“I’m really pleased, we scored some great goals,” Wild told the club’s website.

“The focus this week has been us working harder than we worked at Yeovil.

“I’ve looked back at the stats for how far we ran last week, and it was nowhere near good enough.

“We put it back on the players this week, they have probably been a little bit annoyed with me this week, but I got what I wanted.

“Everybody contributed to the excellent display.”
