Whitehawk Bring In French-Born Defender From The Tanners

French centre-back Yannis Ambroisine has joined Whitehawk from Bostik League Premier side Leatherhead.

Ambroisine also had a contract offered by the Tanners, but decided to step up a level and join the Hawks.

Since making his debut for the Tanners early on in the year away to Wingate & Finchley, Ambroisine helped the club achieve a respectable mid-table finish in the 2016/17 season as well as playing a massive part in this season’s Emirates FA Cup run – in particular his man of the match performance in the 3-1 victory away to Billericay Town.

The 26-year-old numbers North Greenford United, Southall, Waltham Abbey and Hayes & Yeading United amongst his other former clubs in this country.

Before coming to England, ne played for Entente SSG and Montreuil Red Star in his homeland.
