Whitehawk Become Pinney`s Latest Port Of Call

Whitehawk have signed striker Nathaniel Pinney from league rivals St Albans City.

Born in London, Pinney joined Crystal Palace and made his League debut in April 2009 against Cardiff City.

He made only one other appearance for Palace, in a Carling Cup game against Yeovil Town in August 2010, before signing for Dagenham & Redbridge in October 2010 on a month`s loan, and then Conference (National League) South leaders Braintree Town on a short-term loan in March 2011.

Pinney joined Ebbsfleet United in November 2011 on an initial one-month loan. This was extended by a further month and after impressing at Stonebridge Road, his loan was extended to the end of the season where he was used in several roles, playing on both wings and as a striker.

He was officially released by Crystal Palace in April 2012 and joined Carshalton Athletic in October 2012 and scored 21 league goals for the then-Ryman League Premier Division club in the 2012/13 season.

He then went on to sign for Kingstonian before joining Conference South club Eastbourne Borough in December 2014.

Pinney was voted Eastbourne’s player of the year and finished as top scorer for the club for the 2015/16 season. He also scored the only goal in the final of the 2015/16 Sussex Senior Cup, winning the cup for Eastbourne.

He signed for the Saints in mid-October 2017 and was released after making six appearances and scoring 3 goals.
