White Heads Off To Scotland As Barrow Wait On New Boss

By Sam Elliott

Barrow striker Jordan White has become the latest National League player to switch to Scotland.

The Bluebirds frontman will play north of the border next season after agreeing a contract with Inverness.

Cally have added the 26-year-old to their squad on a two year deal, both clubs confirmed this afternoon.

White said: “I am really looking forward to the challenge. I would like to thank Barrow and wish them luck for next season.”

Barrow fans are still awaiting news of who the club’s new manager will be.

They have been without a boss since Ady Pennock resigned - but that hasn’t stopped them signing three players.

The club’s managing director Paul Casson says whoever gets the job will be more of a modern manager.

“We’re trying to find people who are newer to the game, who understand the way the modern game works and the way the modern footballer thinks,” said Casson last week.

“We are talking to people who have different ideas about to manage those different types of personality.

“Unless they have demonstrated a lot of success at different levels, we’ve shied away from some of the more traditional names you might have seen in the past.”
