What's In Store In The National League South On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

The title race is heating up in the National League South, so let's take a closer inspection of what's ahead of us this weekend.

How will Torquay United react after their ten game winning run came to an end last weekend - and they let Bath City into the title race.

After a delightful December, 2018 hasn’t been a good one for Oxford City.

They go to Plainmoor hurting from three defeats on the spin.

The Gulls could do with a favour from Gloucester City when they host Bath, and they won for the first time in nearly four months last weekend.

Woking hold all the Cards and if Alan Dowson’s side keep winning he knows they can’t be stopped.

But they dropped points for the first time since November last week at St Albans - and now face a game with Wealdstone, who beat them just days into the new campaign.

Bath aren’t the only team in form. Chelmsford have won five of their last six but have a difficult day ahead at Dulwich Hamlet.

Harry Wheeler is back at Billericay Town and he’ll want a similar performance to what his team put in at Welling United back in August when they ran out 3-0 winners.

How will Concord Rangers react after their three-point deduction this week? Sammy Moore takes his team to Dartford.

Ian Herring has urged his Hungerford side to not waste a home game as they battle to stay up - the Crusaders host Hemel Hempstead Town.

Truro City are five points above the drop zone and daylight will appear if they can do the business at Chippenham.

What East Thurrock would give for that kind of a cushion. They go to Eastbourne still can’t quite find a level of consistency and they look to get back to winning ways.

It’s similar at Weston-super-Mare. They are bottom but they’re still in touch with safety and a home win over Slough Town will restore belief.

St Albans are on the edge of the play-off picture and they could even re-join the top seven if they win at Hampton and other results go their way.
