What's In Store In The National League North This Evening?

By Tom Scott

A promotion frenzy could see new leaders crowned in the National League North tonight.

The onus is on Stockport County as they travel to Lincolnshire to face Boston United – a win would see Jim Gannon’s men lead the pack.

Boston have their own ambitions and will be trying their upmost to ensure the Hatters don’t enjoy their time on the coast too much.

Craig Elliott’s men are in the hunt for a play-off place but could be cut adrift depending on other outcomes.

Spennymoor Town still have a ticket to the title race themselves. With two games in hand over Chorley, it could become a three-horse race.

Southport travel to Brewery Field with only Stockport and AFC Telford tasting victory in the league there since August.

AFC Telford will be looking to get back to winning ways at home against Darlington to stretch the gap from the chasing pack.

Paul Holleran was adamant that his Leamington side have been unlucky in recent weeks after their latest reverse against York.

The Brakes should be safe but travel to an out-of-sorts Bradford (Park Avenue) knowing a win would certainly relieve some pressure at the bottom.

Who would want to play Altrincham at the minute? Winning their last two games by and aggregate score of 10-0, Phil Parkinson’s men are at full tilt.

Blyth Spartans have the unenviable task of trying to halt their charge and know that defeat in the North-West could all but extinguish their play-off hopes.

Tuesday's National League North fixtures:
AFC Telford v Darlington
Altrincham v Blyth Spartans
