What's Happening Across The National League Tomorrow

By Sam Elliott

The four-week countdown is on and we’re about to see the men separated from the boys - the run-in is upon us!

There’s not a minute to lose with just one month left of the regular season and we’re edging closer to getting some important questions answered.

So here’s the latest state of play as we take a close look at the weekend’s fixtures. With some sides otherwise engaged in the FA Trophy, opportunity knocks!

The title race

There’s six matches to go, but the battle for first place is unlikely to last that long. The title could even be won next weekend.

If Barnet win at Braintree Town and York City lose at AFC Fylde in the early kick-off tomorrow, a win against rivals Wealdstone on April 12 would confirm the Bees' EFL return and end their seven-year National League stay.

The play-off-race

Just six points separates fifth placed FC Halifax Town and Tamworth down in tenth.

Southend United will take 1,400 fans with them to Sutton United knowing three points will be sure to lift them into the top seven.

Those sitting just below the dotted line have noted Gateshead’s wretched form and the side sitting in seventh look to end a run of six straight defeats with a home win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

FC Halifax Town want to all-but end Eastleigh’s chances in the live DAZN evening kick off while ending their four-match wait for a win.

Altrincham, another of those in contention for a play-off place but who are now out of form, look to clinch a morale-boosting victory over improving Yeovil Town.

York City will confirm a home play-off semi-final if they beat AFC Fylde in the lunchtime kick-off live on DAZN and Oldham Athletic fail to win on Tuesday night.

The fight for survival

Another week, another different bottom four?

The outlook is ever-changing but we’re fast approaching now or never for Maidenhead United, who are five points shy of salvation. Tamworth visit this weekend with their own agenda at the other end.

AFC Fylde are third from bottom but can beat teams near the top. York are in town for the early kick-off.

Wealdstone know if they win at home to Forest Green Rovers they could be looking at a five-point cushion come 5pm.

Dagenham & Redbridge have had a very productive three games - but they still remain in the mire. They go to Gateshead looking to make it four unbeaten.
