What’s Ahead Of Us In The North And South This Evening

By Sam Elliott

Things are getting very interesting at the top of the National League North and South.

So that makes every matchday crucial - and there’s a lot to look forward to tonight.

It’s all eyes on Hampshire for the top vs second match between Farnborough and Truro City, two sides not predicted to be amongst the early pace-setters.

A win for John Askey’s team overhauls the table toppers but Spencer Day is full of confidence having just left in-form Chelmsford City with all three points.

The chasing pack will be watching on with interest and Eastbourne Borough hope to up the heat at Hampton & RB tonight.

Weston-super-Mare take their challenge to Salisbury, who never seem to know when they’re beaten.

Torquay United and Worthing both hope to be in the mix come the business end of the season and the two sides battle it out for three vital points at Plainmoor.

Things are even tighter at the top of the National League North, making for a brilliant night ahead.

Scunthorpe United are holding onto the leadership with their finger-tips. They’ve not won in four and could do without putting that right at home to Rushall Olympic.

Hereford manager Paul Caddis isn’t keen to talk up his team’s chances but he may start to feel more confident if the second place Bulls leave Warrington Town with all three points.

Alfreton Town eye up top when they host Spennymoor Town. Chorley, in third after the Reds beat them on Saturday, want to put that right by beating Darlington.

Curzon Ashton slipped to fifth this weekend and want to climb straight back up when they head to Scarborough, who recently beat the leaders and Chester, who themselves welcome Buxton this evening.

Southport go to Leamington looking for their third win on the bounce as Radcliffe look to build on their first victory this weekend when they travel South Shields.
