What's Ahead Across The National League This Evening

By Tom Scott

There are four games coming your way this evening - but that shouldn't mean a lack of eye-catching action.

A pair of games in the National League could see some big changes.

Southend United are desperate for a win and know a victory tonight will lift them out of the bottom three.

They face Dover Athletic whose defiant boss Andy Hessenthaler reckons his side go there with nothing to lose as they look for their first win of the season.

He said: "The pressure is on Southend as club that has just come out of League Two.

"We should go there with nothing to lose and try and get this win we're all craving."

Elsewhere Bromley could jump up to fourth if they can see off pack-chasers Woking.

Andy Woodman's side have been bang at it in recent weeks and haven't tasted defeat since mid-September.

The Cards come into the game with one win in four but have the incentive of closing the gap to the top seven to spur them on.

In the National League North, Southport face a tall order if they are to continue their fine form of late.

Liam Watson's side have won their last two but know beating Chorley won't be an easy task.

The Magpies are unbeaten in the league since August and have one of the better home records in the division.

The National League South sees two sides looking to looking to get back on track.

Leaders Dartford haven't won in three including their FA Cup exit to Sudbury while Concord have one just one of their four games in October.

The Beachboys can go level on points with Maidstone in seventh - Steve King's side can extend their lead at the summit to four points.
