The National League returned after an FA Cup break with plenty of important wins secured - and a shock for the table toppers!

Leaders Barnet got a nasty surprise at Solihull Moors, going down to a 4-3 defeat having taken the lead early on.

Jack Stevens, a Joe Kizzi own goal, Sam Bowen and James Gale sealed a huge victory for Andy Whing’s men, ending the Bees 13 game undefeated run in all competitions in the process.

Forest Green Rovers are level on points with the Bees after Kyle McAllistair scored a late winner to sink Braintree Town.

Mike Fondop scored another goal as Oldham Athletic left Sutton United with a valuable 3-1 win. James Norwood added the gloss.

Kevin Phillips has work to do at AFC Fylde, who went down 4-0 at Dagenham. Junior Morias sealed the deal in East London.

Two-goal Ollie Pearce, pictured, helped York City on the way to a straight forward win over bottom side Ebbsfleet United, who weren’t the only team down the bottom to lose.

Ashley Hemmings scored twice as Kidderminster recorded a much needed 3-0 win at Needham Market.

Elsewhere Tom Broadbent scored the winner as South Shields defeated ten man Leamington and Dan Jarvis was Peterborough Sports’ main man as they eventually put Marine to bed.

Farnborough stay top of the National League South after an impressive win at in-form Chelmsford City.

Hemel Hempstead’s wobble continues after a 3-0 defeat at Chippenham.

Truro City continue their charge as they won by the same scoreline. Tyler Harvey added another two goals to his tally.

Two others met and it also ended all squad as Weston-super-Mare and Boreham Wood fired blanks.

Mo Faal found the net again as Worthing defeated Tonbridge 3-2. Anoited Chukwa was the match winner for Wellington United at St Albans City.

Aveley won the big game down the bottom at Enfield 4-2 to give their season a shot in the arm.
