What Happened On Tuesday Night In The National League?

By Sam Elliott

As expected, Tuesday night’s National League programme had twists and turns a plenty.

Torquay United just do not know when to relent.

It looked like they had to settle for a draw at home to Aldershot Town but Scott Boden had other ideas.

He kept his composure in the seventh minute of time added on to seal a critical 2–1 win as his side remain at the top of the table.

This all came after Saturday’s scintillating 2-2 dew with Notts County, secured in the eighth minute of injury time.

Sutton United got back on track with a hard earned 1-0 victory over Barnet.

Omar Bugiel’s 70th minute winner proved to be enough.

Whatever you do, don’t count Stockport County out of the title race quite yet.

Another sensational away win was secured at King’s Lynn Town - their second 4-0 victory inside a few weeks, pictured.

Two goals from Harry Cardwell sealed it - adding to an early Paddy Madden effort and an unfortunate Michael Gash own goal at the Walks.

Chesterfield showed their mean business with a 2-1 win at in-form Bromley.

George Carline secured the points at Hayes Lane, ending the hosts four game winning run in the process.

Notts County concerns are growing - a 2-0 defeat at Eastleigh added to their issues.

Joe Tomlinson secured the points ahead the Spitfires surged ahead when Andrew Boyce put them in front.

Jake Hyde got the winner against his old club as FC Halifax Town earned a vital 1-0 win over Woking.

Joe Quigley’s hat-trick got Yeovil Town going as they eased past Solihull Moors 3-0.

Weymouth want to end in a strong way and Calvin Brooks winner beat Maidenhead United 1-0.
