What Happened On Tuesday Night In The National League?

It was a busy night across the three National League divisions and as usual there were plenty of box office moments delivered.

Wrexham are in full focus and they stayed in the headlines - a fantastic 1-0 win at Hartlepool United was another boost to the club’s fans.

The Dragons took the points when Elliott Durrell kept his composure ten minutes after half-time.

Altrincham showed they are coping well with the step up - a late win over Chesterfield was secured by Josh Hancock, pictured, whose second of the game added to the Spireites’ woes.

Kane Ferdinand was at the double as Woking thumped Dover Athletic 5-1 on their travels.

Wealdstone’s five-game winning run is over - Sam Smart and Cav Miley helped Eastleigh to a 2-0 win.

Jamar Loza scored twice as King’s Lynn put in a confident display to beat Barnet 2-0 at The Hive.

Jamie Allen got his timing just right - an injury time leveller first FC Halifax prevented Notts County winning at the Shay, 1-1 it ended.

Dagenham showed spirit by coming from a goal down to take a point at in-form Sutton United.

Daryl McMahon was indebted to Paul McCallum, who headed the equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

Aldershot and Maidenhead drew 0-0, while a brave Michael Cheek header handed Bromley a point at home to Boreham Wood.


There was an epic comeback as Leamington returned from the dead to stun Alfreton.

Having been 3-0 down at half-time, it seemed all over for Paul Holleran’s team.

But the manager worked wonders with his team talk and incredibly the Brakes won it 4-3.

Leaders Gloucester City showed they know how to dig deep as Matt McClure got the only goal as they won 1-0 at Hereford.

It was a great night for the Tigers who moved four points clear - title rivals AFC Fylde went down 2-0 at impressive Curzon Ashton.

Amari-Morgan Smith and Sam Austin both found the net at Kidderminster continued their encouraging start by winning 2-0 Brackley.

Connor Woods’ fine chip made the points save for Southport at Bradford PA.

Lethal Elliot Newby snatched the winner as Chorley won 1-0 at AFC Telford United. Meanwhile, Dan Maguire bagged a brace as Darlington ran out simple 4-1 winners at Guiseley.


St Albans City showed they mean business this season after Shaun Jeffers’ stunning late winner at leaders Dartford.

Hungerford reduced thief advantage at the top to just a point - Ryan Seager was on the scoresheet again as the surprise strong starters won 3-1 at Slough Town.

Ebbsfleet and Maidstone fired blanks as the Kent derby ended goalless. It was the same scoreline as Dorking were held by Dulwich Hamlet.

Braintree Town picked up their first points of the season - a day after manager George Borg resigned.

A 1-0 win over Concord Rangers gave the Irons’ season a big lift.

Hampton wish they were as good at home as they are away - Hemel Hempstead won 3-0 at the Beveree while Eastbourne came back from 2-0 down to draw at Tonbridge Angels.
