What Happened On Tuesday Across The National League

The biggest game of the season so far summed up the National League title race - pulsating.

Stockport County came from two down to grab a great point against ten man Chesterfield in a thriller in front of a packed crowd.

Second half goals from Will Collar and Ryan Croasdale, pictured, turned the game on its head after Jeff King was given his marching orders.

Southend United keep winning - they defeated in-form Bromley and their fans aren’t ruling out a stunning play-off push.

Matthew Dennis put them ahead before Shaun Hobson made it safe early in the second half.

Notts County ran riot against Barnet. Two goals from Elisha Sam and further efforts from Ruben Rodriques, Kyle Wootton, Callum Roberts and Matthew Palmer saw the Magpies ease to a 6-1 win.

Nik Tavares got what turned out to be the winner as Wealdstone edged Yeovil Town, while Grimsby and King’s Lynn fired blanks.

Gateshead are back on top of the National League North.

Macauley Langstaff scored again as they defeat local rivals Blyth Spartans 3-0.

Southport know they needed a response after their recent poor results and they got one, 3-0 winners at AFC Telford. Jordan Archer, Connor Woods and Doug Tharme all hit the mark.

Kettering Town are up into the play-offs after a good draw at Alfreton Town.

Ebbsfleet United gave the teams at the top of the National League South something to think about.

They sunk St Albans City 5-0 - Adam Mekki grabbing a double for the Fleet.

Stefan Ilic was the toast of Braintree after scoring a leveller against rivals Chelmsford. It ended 2-2 at Cressing Road.

Eastbourne Borough are having a great year - they beat Tonbridge Angels 3-1, Charley Kendall scoring again.

Dulwich Hamlet also fancy a crack at the play-offs and a brilliant 2-1 win at Slough Town was earned by a Ibra Sekajja goal in the 77th minute.
