What Happened On Tuesday Across The National League

By Sam Elliott

There were only five Tuesday night matches but there was no shortage of talking points.

In the National League South two emphatic away wins were secured as the strikers hit form.

Always prolific Jake Robinson, pictured, was the architect of Hemel Hempstead’s downfall - he hit a hat-trick as the Billericay got some crucial points on the board with a 4-1 win.

It was the same scoreline at Champion Hill asDulwich Hamlet came undone against Concord Rangers - and it was a big moment.

It was Concord’s first away win of 2020 as they quickly put Saturday’s 6-0 hammering at Maidstone United to one side.

In the National League North, AFC Fylde dropped their first points of the season.

But the 1-1 draw at Alfreton was still enough to send them top.

Luke Burke’s beauty put the Coasters ahead but the Reds grabbed a goal from Elliott Reeves and kept the visitors at bay.

A late Jack Edwards goal handed Leamington their first point in a 1-1 draw at Farsley Celtic.

Southport were superb at Kettering and won 1-0 with the winner arriving from the ever reliable David Morgan.
