By Sam Elliott

It was another brilliant afternoon of action as the National League took centre stage again after the FA Trophy and FA Cup excitement.

We once again have new leaders. Barnet beat Ebbsfleet United 4-1 as Nicke Kabamba, Mark Shelton, Rhys Browne and Ryan Glover all scored at the Hive.

In the live DAZN game, Forest Green Rovers ground-out three valuable points to keep the heat on. Harvey Bunker’s first half winner was enough to beat Boston United.

Luke Hannatt’s double kept Gateshead in touch with the sides at the top - with their confident 4-0 win increasing the misery for Woking.

Oldham Athletic flipped their game with Wealdstone on its head to remind everyone they're still in the hunt.

After going 2-0 down, Josh Stones’ double and another from Mike Fondop-Talom ten minutes from time gave the Latics another home win.

FC Halifax Town left Aldershot with all three points following a thriller. Zak Emmerson’s late goal turned out to be the winner.

Dagenham did damage to Rochdale’s top seven hopes - Junior Morias 11 minutes from time earned the win.

Altrincham jumped into a play-off place as Mr Reliable Regan Linney scored their winning go against promotion rivals Sutton United.

Solihull Moors finally broke Maidenhead United’s resistance - the ten men were breached in the 96th minute as Alex Whitmore snatched a late point.

Danny Ormerod also scored very late into time added on as AFC Fylde pegged Eastleigh back, 2-2 it ended at Mill Farm.

In the National League South, Torquay United rise to the top after an eye-catching day.

The Gulls beat Farnborough 2-0 after striking early. Jordan Young and Will Jenkins-Davies had them on easy street after seven minutes.

This morning’s leaders Truro City lost 2-0 at home to Maidstone. Matt Rush made the points safe as the Stones' great unbeaten run goes on.

Now second Boreham Wood’s 3-0 win over Chesham keeps the pressure on, Kwesi Appiah scored two more, while Dorking are into the promotion places after a win at Chippenham.

New Hemel Hempstead manager Lee Allinson enjoyed a dream start as the Tudors beat Weymouth 3-0. It’s the club’s first victory since September.

Elsewhere there were big wins for Hampton, who produced a stunning first half hour to deflate Chelmsford City, and for Welling United and Tonbridge Angels.

In the National League North, the battle of the form sides was won by Curzon Ashton, who hold on to top spot.

A 3-0 win over South Shields underlines their ambitions with James Spencer again amongst the scorers.

Danny Whitehall’s late double at Marine lifts Scunthorpe United into second as chasers Chorley slipped to defeat at Hereford.

King’s Lynn drew with Alfreton Town and Kidderminster Harriers had four different scorers in their convincing win at Radcliffe.

Scarborough Athletic love leaving it late - another closing stages winner saw Lewis Maloney fire in three points at troubled Rushall Olympic.
