It was a wild day in the wind and rain across the divisions as the action returned.

Torquay United missed the chance to pull further clear at the top of the National League as Boreham Wood bit back.

The Gulls had to settle for a home point despite going ahead through Sam Sherring. Sorba Thomas made it 1-1 on the stroke of half-time and neither could find a second-half winner.

Sutton United were five star as they continued their fine start by demonising King’s Lynn Town.

There was a stunning hat-trick for Issac Olaofe as Matt Gray’s men continue to move in the right direction thanks to this 5-1 win.

Maidenhead amazingly moved up to fourth as Sam Barrett, pictured, struck twice.

His sensational start to the season in front of goal isn’t showing signs of slowing down as the in-form Magpies came from behind to win 2-1 at Chesterfield.

Yeovil were denied their first win with seconds to go.

Woking star Josh Davison broke Glovers hearts late on to earn a 1-1 draw at Kingfield.

There was frustration too for Eastleigh and Hartlepool - the live BT Sport game abandoned at half-time.

Bromley put on their best performance of the season to win 3-1 at Barnet - Joe Kizzi, James Alibi and Michael Cheek on target.

Aldershot won 2-1 at Altrincham as they carry on improvement. Toby Edser and Chike Kandi struck gold in Manchester.


We may have already seen the game of the season in the National League North.

Gloucester City and Bradford Park Avenue drew 4-4 - the promotion chasing Tigers refused to lie down and Bernard Mensah eventually clinched a point.

Spennymoor claimed an impressive three points at Southport.

Their 2-0 win was earned by Liam Blakeman and the free-scoring Glen Taylor.

Tom Owen-Evans grabbed two inside three minutes as Hereford won 3-0 at Blyth Spartans.

Dominic McHail hit the winner as AFC Telford United secured an impressive 2-1 success at FA Cup heroes Darlington.

Curzon Ashton claimed a vital 2-1 win at Kettering while Alfreton impressed manager Billy Heath as they saw off Farsley 3-1.


The big game in the National League South went the way of Dartford - an excellent 2-0 win at Maidstone United took them four point clear.

Tom Bonner and Charlie Sheringham, both in the final 15 minutes, did the damage in the Kent derby.

Dorking Wanderers continue to impress - Jason Prior bagged a hat-trick in the 4-1 thumping of Tonbridge Angels.

Defender Jake Goodman was Ebbsfleet’s hero. He scored twice as the Fleet dug deep to win 2-1 at Chippenham.

Hampton & RB put the pain of FA Cup defeat behind them. The Beavers were 1-0 winners at Chelmsford City thanks to a goal from Wilson Carvalho.

Jake Robinson and Jai Reason both scored as Billericay Town beat Slough 2-0.

Havant & W saw off Oxford City 2-1 as did Welling United, successful against struggling Hemel Hempstead Town.

Charlie Walker netted twice as Eastbourne beat Braintree 4-0, the Iron still have yet to take a point this season.
