What Happened Last Night Across The National League?

By Sam Elliott

Some spice was added to the National League title race last night as the leaders came unstuck on the Kent coast.

Barrow’s first defeat since October saw them miss the chance to storm ten points clear.

They were undone at Dover 2-1 and the long trip home left them wondering what could have been.

Michael Woods’ winner two minutes from time gave hope to the chasing pack after John Rooney had levelled matters on 82 minutes.

Ian Evatt’s side remain seven points clear while Dover are now level on points with the play-off places.

Altrincham’s home record is remarkable - they have now won 11 from 13 in front of their fans after easing to victory last night.

Alty beat AFC Telford 5-2 with Jordan Hulme and Josh Hancock were at the double. Jake Moult got the other.

Dorking won for the first time in five as they added to Hungerford’s worries.

A 1-0 success came thanks to Jack Barham’s first half goal at Bulpit Lane.
