By Sam Elliott

It was a night of fast and frantic action across the National League divisions as things start to take shape.

The goals flowed and we have new leaders after Torquay tore into Aldershot Town.

Danny Wright got two and contributions from Ben Wynter and Ben Whitfield made in a memorable night for Gary Johnson’s men.

The 4-1 win took them ahead of Stockport County, who fired blanks in a stalemate with Solihull Moors.

Sutton United have enjoyed a great start - they won for the fourth time this season in the delayed kick-off at Yeovil.

Harry Beautyman’s double lifted the London club to third as the midfielder showed he could have another great return from the middle of the park.

Wealdstone hold a play-off place - and they have Danny Parish to thank for it.

He fired a fantastic hat-trick as the Stones eventually held firm to win at King’s Lynn, who twice battled back to draw level.

It wasn’t the only five goal thriller on Tuesday night.

Bromley beat Weymouth 3-2 in an exciting clash, pictured, while speed merchant Ade Azeez got what turned out to be the winner as Dover edged a classic with Eastleigh.

Altrincham came so close to a famous win at Hartlepool but keeper Ben Killip saved a late penalty from Matty Kosylo to deny them all three points, 1-1 it ended.

Dagenham’s poor start continued - but Maidenhead are really making moves up the table.

Josh Coley completed the turn around to move his team up into the top half with a third straight win.

Boreham Wood are getting things together, they beat Woking 1-0 with Augustin Mafuta clinching a valuable three points.

In the night’s early kick-off, Wrexham and Barnet both wouldn’t be beaten and it ended goalless.

They edged past Curzon Ashton 2-1 - captain George Glendon getting the winner.

Bradford PA
got their first three points on the board with a stylish 2-0 success at Hereford, while a late Nathan Newall goal earned Guiseley a good point at Boston United.

Steve King’s pre-match signing of Derry striker Moussa Bakayoko worked a treat - he scored nine minutes into his debut to set Dartford on the way to a 2-1 win over Chippenham.

Eastbourne are 8th after a valiant 2-1 victory at Hampton & RB.
