What Happened In The National League On Saturday?

By Tom Scott

It was another day of big drama as only two of the top six managed a win - but it was a different story for the sides in the bottom four.

It will officially go down as a draw but Bromley will feel like they've gained much more this afternoon.

Having been three goals down to Harrogate, the Ravens showed their fight.

After Reeco Hackett-Fairchild fired a warning shot on the stroke of half-time, Chris Bush hit a second-half brace to snatch a point.

That opened the door for the chasing pack and Barrow more than made the most of it - comfortably seeing off Notts County at Meadow Lane while Solihull Moors put AFC Fylde to the sword at Damson Park.

But Torquay hit a Sutton United-shaped brick wall as Harry Beautyman delivered a fatal blow to the Gulls.

Halifax couldn't find a way past a resolute Woking defence while in the live BT Sport game, Dover continued their fine form on the road with a win over Yeovil Town - Scott Doe with the final say there.

Danny Searle branded his Aldershot Town team a 'disgrace' after their hammering at Dagenham & Redbridge.

The Daggers were four up inside 25 minutes through Ben House, Manny Onarise and Joan Luque - Will Wright and Joe Quigley added more before Robbie Tinkler bagged a consolation for the beleaguered Shots.

Hartlepool looked to have it all their own way at the Kuflink Stadium.

At half-time, the Pools were two to the good thanks to Gavin Holohan's brace and a man to the good after Josh Umerah got sent off.

But a second-half fightback from Ebbsfleet saw them share the spoils - Myles Weston with a pair of goals.

Chorley did their survival hopes a huge favour with a win against Chesterfield, Charles Vernam hit a brace either side of a Courtney Meppam-Walters goal for the Magpies.

Elsewhere, Justin Shaibu hit a late winner for Boreham Wood against Maidenhead while Stockport County came from behind against Barnet with Frank Mulhern landing a hammer blow in the last minute.

Saturday's National League final scores:

Barnet 1-2 Stockport County
Boreham Wood 2-1 Maidenhead
Bromley 3-3 Harrogate
Chesterfield 2-3 Chorley
Dagenham & Redbridge 6-1 Aldershot
Ebbsfleet 2-2 Hartlepool
Notts County 0-3 Barrow
Solihull Moors 3-1 AFC Fylde
Torquay United 1-2 Sutton
Woking 0-0 Halifax
Yeovil 0-1 Dover
