What Happened In The National League On Saturday?

By Tom Scott

It was another weekend of shocks in the National League with only two of the top seven teams winning their games on Saturday.

Kurt Willoughby's first goals for AFC Fylde proved to be consolation for the Coaster who suffered a tough time in Somerset.

Yeovil had Rhys Murphy, Myles Hippolyte and Jimmy Smith to thank as they chalked up a fourth consecutive win.

Chesterfield are off the foot of the table after claiming their first win of the season against Torquay.

Scott Boden's early goal was enough for the Spireites who leapfrog Ebbsfleet and Chorley.

Dagenham & Redbridge made it back-to-back wins for the first time this season as they saw off Hartlepool at Victoria Road.

Joe Quigley netted either side of an Angelo Balanta goal to stretch the Daggers unbeaten run to seven.

Woking stay top despite surrendering a two-goal lead at home to Ebbsfleet.

Tyreke Johnson and Jake Hyde had the Cards clear - but Alex Reid got the visitors back into it before Myles Weston stole a point at the death.

Bromley also suffered late heartache at the hands of Eastleigh - Cav Miley cancelling out Luke Coulson's opener five minutes from time.

Kyle Wootton hit another late goal to sink Halifax as Notts County secured their second Meadow Lane win of the campaign.

Solihull Moors were back in league action but crumbled in Cumbria as Barrow blew them away at Holker Street.

Scott Quigley added to John Rooney's first-half double to leave the Moors with just a point in their last five outings.

Harrogate and Boreham Wood couldn't be separated while in the live BT Sport game, Bobby Grant's late spot kick rescued a point for Wrexham against Sutton.

Chorley's Chris Holroyd got his fourth goal in as many games as the Magpies fought back to earn a point at Dover.

Two quickfire goals gave Aldershot what proved to be an unassailable lead against Stockport County.

Harry Panayioutou and Alefe Santos struck two minutes apart for the Shots - Joe Piggott getting one back for County.

Elsewhere, Barnet continued to climb the table after seeing off Maidenhead at the Hive - Josh Walker's second-half goal enough for Darren Currie's side.

Saturday's National League final scores:
