What Happened In The National League North On Saturday?

King's Lynn are the clear leaders going into 2020 after capitalising on York's slip-up on Saturday afternoon.

The Linnets have a four-point cushion from York despite only managing a draw at Alfreton Town.

King's Lynn found themselves behind on two occasions through Amari Morgan-Smith and Ryan Qualter but Adam Marriott and Michael Gash saw them head back home with a point.

York fell to a gutsy Guiseley side as former City player Hamza Bencherif gave the Lions the lead before Kaine Felix hit a winner three minutes from time.

It was Mexican Day at Farsley Celtic and they hit Bradford (Park Avenue) for 'cinco'.

After going in goalless at the break, goals from Nathan Cartman, Will Hayhurst and David Syers saw the Celts run clear.

But it was a sublime overhead kick from defender Jack Higgins that stole the headlines for the home side.

Boston's Jake Wright was at the double as the Pilgrims inflicted a first defeat since October on Kettering.

Gloucester are still winless under new boss James Rowe after Matt Stenson's goal saw AFC Telford take all three points.

Dexter Walters scored direct from a corner for Leamington as they bagged a win over Hereford, Kaiman Anderson with the Brakes' second.

Three second half goals from Altrincham saw them stretch their unbeaten run at home.

Two goals from John Johnston and Josh Hancock against Southport mean Alty haven't lost on home soil since their opening day defeat to York.

Gateshead inflicted a second straight defeat on Spennymoor after bagging a 3-1 win at Brewery Field.

Scott Barrow, Dominic Tear and Greg Olley were all on target for the Heed who are now just four points behind the Moors.

Blyth Spartans went down to Darlington - the Spartans have now conceded 22 goals in their last seven games.

In the play-off picture, Chester suffered their second home defeat of the season to Curzon Ashton while Brackley Town/ saw off ten-man Kidderminster Harriers through goals from Thierry Audel and Lee Ndlovu.

Saturday's National League North final scores:
