The Ammies looked to be heading to a heavy defeat in Worcestershire when Dan Bradley rolled Harriers’ fourth goal home in the 56th minute.
Salford's Josh Askew netted with nine minutes to go with his fellow subs Nick Haughton and Mani Dieseruvwe adding what looked like to be two more consolation goals in the 89th and 90th minutes.
But then the visitors were awarded a penalty in the last minute of the five added on and despite Tom Walker seeing his spot-kick saved, he smashed the rebound into the net to complete one of the best comebacks in recent memory and keep Salford on top of the National League North.
“The raw emotion when that fourth goal went in, I’ve never felt anything like that in nine years of management,” Johnson told us.
“The euphoria surrounding it was unbelievable because by rights, we shouldn’t have had anything from the game. In the first half we got absolutely battered.
“Kidderminster looked a level above us and sometimes you have to praise the opposition. We knew they couldn’t keep that up for the 95 minutes but fair play to our lads, they showed great character.
“We knew a point today would keep us top and it keeps the pressure on Harrogate and Brackley who face each other on Friday. Taking a point away from Kidderminster is a positive result.”
