Weymouth Hope That Williams Can Keep The Goals Flowing

Weymouth have made striker Brett Williams their big summer signing - and he has big boots to fill.

The former Aldershot Town and Torquay frontman has been added to the new-comers’ frontline.

The Southern League champions need the big forward to fill the goal gap left by Brandon Goodship.

The top scorer earned a move to Southend United last month and they have worked hard sourcing a replacement.

Director of Football Paul Maitland told the club’s website: “With Brandon leaving for Southend, we had an idea of what we wanted to do.

“Brett has a proven track record at National League level, he’s played most of his career at that level so he brings good experience with him.

“We go a little bit into the unknown in this new league for us so it’s important to have someone with that level of experience.”
